Evolution Baby!

Back in 2002 when I started this business, we had very few direct competitors. Storage and bandwidth costs were coming down but only a few people were looking far enough ahead to see that online, offsite data backup and recovery was a logical application for this trend. Back then, we were thought leaders!

During the past 6 years, dozens of software and service companies jumped on the band wagon to offer disk-to-disk data backup and recovery. Largely based on our groundbreaking pricing model, prices for data backup and restore came down, down, down; approaching a point that is reflective of the value that a customer wants to place on it's data as it moves through the lifecycle.  Advances in techniques surrounding automation of the movement of data through the stages of its lifecycle are now enabling more "intelligent" data management, thus allowing the customer to accurately control the life, and associated cost, of their data.
