DS3 DataVaulting addresses security from three perspectives.  All data is encrypted both “in flight” and “at rest” using the AES standard with options up to 256 bit, which meets the government FIPS standards for Top Secret data protection.  From a physical security standpoint, DS3 requires only outbound ports to be opened on customer firewalls in order to support all functions of the service.  This means that the customer’s risk of unauthorized electronic entry is minimized.  From a data integrity standpoint, administrative processes run daily and weekly to ensure that data protected on the customer side is properly stored in the DataVault.  Our revolutionary “autonomic healing” process constantly scans customer data to ensure restorability and drive data reliability percentages into the multiple nines.
