The addition of the DS3 Remote solution gives Europ Assistance the ability to better protect confidential and key operational information that is typically stored and accessed on laptops in the field. Medical teams, for example, are able to ensure the continuity of critical emergency information to enable the best care possible for travelers who may become ill or injured. Mobile data loss can be quickly mitigated through an easy, user-controlled solution that is downloaded directly onto the laptop and backs up files without user intervention or burdensome computer interruptions. Data restore is accomplished through the local laptop or, if the laptop is unavailable, through a web portal, giving Europ Assistance field personnel the ability to recover data easily through any available Internet access point. Four levels of security ensure that only authorized users can access and retrieve files through the web portal. In addition, information technology personnel can easily manage accounts and quotas from a single console. Management reports show who is backing up, how much they are backing up and, most importantly, who is not backing up their files.
